- This is one of the most popular Montessori inspired activities to reinforce note recognition. All you’ll need are 4 paper cups and a marker to label them with a letter from the musical alphabet (A-G). The child’s goal is to match the lettered cup to the corresponding note by placing the correct cup over the appropriate circle. This game can be played with as many notes as desired. It is recommended to start with one sheet, before advancing to multiple sheets at a time.
